The Lake Travis-Westlake area saw more homes sold in December compared to the year before, according to the Austin Board of Realtors.

Four of the seven ZIP codes saw more home sales in December, including 78746. Home sales increased 130% in 78746, from 10 home sales in December 2022 to 23 sold in December 2023.



Median home prices were also up in December compared to the prior year in four of the seven ZIP codes.

While home sales were up in 78746 for December 2023, median home prices were down compared to the previous year. The 78746 ZIP code saw a decrease of 41.94%, from a median home sales price of $2.73 million in December 2022 to approximately $1.59 million in December 2023.



Sixty-five homes in the Lake Travis-Westlake area sold for $900,000 or more in December 2023. There were also:
  • 36 homes sold between $700,000 and $899,999
  • 20 homes sold between $500,000 and $699,999
  • 10 homes sold between $300,000 and $499,999
Homes in six of the seven ZIP codes sat on the market longer in December 2023 than in the previous year. In 78669, homes sat on the market for 142 days in December 2023, while the average days on the market for the prior year was 66.
