The Hill Country Galleria, in partnership with the Bee Cave Parks and Recreation Department, is hosting its annual Bicycles, Blues and Brews event this weekend. The event will be Saturday, Sept. 7 from 4-9 p.m., and will take place at the Galleria's Central Plaza. A release from Giant Noise, a communications firm representing the Galleria, states Bicycles, Blues and Brews will serve as a platform to showcase the city of Bee Cave's connectivity plan, an initiative to create hike and bike trails connecting residential neighborhoods to retailers in an effort to reduce traffic congestion and provide a safe and convenient alternative to driving. The release states representatives from Bee Cave Parks andRecreation will be on site to answer any questions and to showcase completed and almost-completed portions of the trails. Guests are encouraged to bring their bikes to enjoy riding in a vehicle-free zone. The free event will also feature live music performances starting at 4 p.m., including acts like Marcus Morales, Jacqui Walker and Mobley. Local breweries, including Treaty Oak Distilling and Vista Brewing, will provide beer tastings, the release states.
