With all votes counted, Bee Cave City Council incumbents will retain their seats on the dais, including Kara King with 586 votes, or 33.62 percent of the total votes; Marie Lowman with 483 votes, or 27.71 percent of the total votes; and Monty Parker with 465 votes, or 26.68 percent of the total votes.

Challenger Scott Cronk received 132 votes, or 7.57 percent of the total votes, and challenger David K. Busch garnered 77 votes, or 4.42 percent of the total votes.

"First, I am relieved," King said. "Secondly, I am really glad and thankful Bee Cave residents saw through the smokescreen and decided to keep their incumbents to keep Bee Cave on the track it is on. The money that was spent to challenge the incumbents was shocking."

She said after this race that she has some additional ideas about what voters are interested in for the city.

"I'm hoping to have more discussions with the community and council about improving our life in Bee Cave," King said.

The city's proposition was approved handily with 637 votes, or 91.92 percent, for the proposal and 56 votes, or 8.08 percent, against the proposal.

All results are unofficial until canvassed.

Scott Cronk, candidate for the Bee Cave City Council, conceded the election this evening at 9:24 p.m. He made this statement by email:

"Congratulations to Marie, Kara and Monty.  I enjoyed running. It was my first time running and I learned a lot. I think we brought a lot of issues to the forefront. I look forward to staying involved and making sure our community leaders do what is right for our families."

With some election day results posted for Bee Cave City Council's race for three open positions on the dais, the current council members running for reelection lead the challengers including Kara King, with 405 cumulative votes, or 33.22 percent of the total votes to date; Marie Lowman, with 341 cumulative votes, or 27.92 percent of the total votes to date; and Monty Parker, with 340 cumulative votes, or 27.69 percent of the total votes to date. Challengers Scott Cronk, with 82 cumulative votes, or 6.73 percent of the vote, and David K. Busch, with 51 cumulative votes or 4.18 percent of the vote, trail behind.

The city's proposition remains strong for approval with 439 cumulative votes, or 91.27 percent, for the proposal and 42 cumulative votes, or 8.73 percent, against the proposal.

City Council incumbents Marie Lowman, Kara King and Monty Parker are off to a strong start in early voting results over challengers David K. Busch and Scott Cronk with King garnering 401 votes, or 33.14 percent of the vote, followed closely by Lowman with 339 votes, or 28.02 percent of the vote, and Parker with 337 votes, or 27.85 percent of the vote. Cronk has 82 votes, or 6.78 percent of the vote, and Busch has 51 votes, or 4.21 percent of the vote, in early voting totals.

Bee Cave's proposition, the reauthorization of a local sales and use tax at the rate of one-fourth of 1 percent to provide revenue for road maintenance and repair shows a strong lead in early voting totals, with 435 votes for, or 91.19 percent of the vote, and 42 votes against, or 8.81 percent.
