Instruction is led by Victor Hugo and Steve Hargett, who are both well-accomplished martial artists and International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation world champions. The practice will offer martial arts instruction to people of all ages and skill levels with the goal of building a community of strong kids and adults that feel confident, prepared and safe.
In addition to a building demonstrating the virtues every martial artist should have, the 2,400-square-foot facility has a state-of-the-art spring floor to support training mats and provide a safe environment for instruction, instructor Steve Hargett said. Prior to officially opening, the facility is planning to host its first event May 27, an open house/open mat fundraiser to raise funds for scholarships for disabled veterans pursuing jiujitsu.
