New shops are opening in the Barton Creek Square mall. Learn about the latest developments below along with some other new businesses opening in the area.

NOW OPEN

After earning a following in Cancun, Mexico, Blue Gecko arrived in Austin in the spring and is now serving tacos, quesadillas and more from a food truck park in the Four Points area at 6911 RM 620, Austin. Also on the menu are craft beer and wine. www.bluegecko.com

BoxLunch opened Aug. 27 in Barton Creek Square at 2901 S. Capital of Texas Hwy., Austin. The shop offers a curated collection of pop culture-themed merchandise for adults and children including Disney, Marvel and Harry Potter-themed collectibles, clothing and accessories. Earthbound Trading Co. , a store for home decor, clothing and gifts, opened Aug. 13 at the Barton Creek Square shopping mall, 2901 S. Capital of Texas Hwy., Austin. Seafood restaurant El Coco Pirata opened in late May at 8300 N. RM 620, Ste. M100, Austin. Mental health provider Heading Health opened July 22 in west Travis County at 3001 Bee Caves Road, Ste. 220, Rollingwood. The clinic provides services for those seeking to address anxiety, depression and mood issues. Austin-based bakery Tiny Pies opened a pop-up location in August at 2125 Lohmans Crossing, Ste. 402, Lakeway, according to an Aug. 12 press release. The family-owned bakery opened in 2011 to offer sweet and savory tiny pies, pot pies, full-sized pies and more, all made from scratch daily. The Lakeway location will remain open until the end of the year. Tiny Pies operates three other locations, including one in West Lake Hills. www.tinypies.com

Label Society will open a second location in the fall of 2021 on the lower level of Barton Creek Square at 2901 S. Capital of Texas Hwy., Austin.
