Galaxy Cafe permanently closed its Steiner Ranch location at 5145 N. RM 620, Bldg. C, Austin, in May following COVID-19 closures. The location opened in February 2019 offering a varied menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The shutdown will not impact the restaurants’ existing locations in Central, Northwest and South Austin. Dine-in, curbside and delivery service remain available at each location. There is a GoFundMe fundraising campaign in place with the 188 staff members left without work due to coronavirus closures. The fundraiser has $7,490 in donations, which will help employees buy food and other basic essentials, according to the campaign.
