Lucy's Fried Chicken permanently closed its lakeside location May 14 at 2900 N. RM 620, Austin, which was temporarily closed due to COVID-19 shutdowns.

The Austin-based restaurant opened in 2016 serving fried chicken, oysters and other Southern staples.

Owner Alan Richardson confirmed in an email to Community Impact Newspaper the closing is effective immediately.

Lucy's Fried Chicken still has two Austin locations, at South Congress and Burnet Road, as well as one in Cedar Park. The three remaining locations are open to the public for dine-in seating at 25% capacity. www.lucysfriedchicken.com
