According to data from the 2018 American Community Survey released Dec. 19, Bee Cave has experienced a nearly 33% jump in population from 2014-18. The number of males surpassed the number of females in 2017, and the gap appears to be increasing. In 2018, males accounted for 50.66% of the city’s population.
Home values have been on the rise throughout Travis County, and Bee Cave is no exception. From 2017-18, the median home value in the city jumped from $529,600 to $578,100, accounting for a 9.16% increase, according to the data.
The number of Bee Cave residents with a bachelor’s degree appears to be on the rise, the data says. In 2017, roughly 60.6% of residents held a bachelor’s degree or higher. In 2018, that shot up more than 3% to 63.9%.
