What happened
Chambers, a member of the 12 Kings Car Club in Wimberley, presented a check for $16,000 to city officials on Tuesday as the end result of the annual Rolling Sculpture Car Show that takes place in late October at the Hill Country Galleria in Bee Cave.
Dean Mericas started the event that raised $70,000 for the Friends of the Library fund in its first 11 years, but moved out of the area. Chambers picked up the mantle in 2019 and has since raised $60,000.

“It’s been a very rewarding experience, something that I really enjoy,” Chambers said.
Bee Cave Mayor Kara King presented Chambers with a proclamation honoring him for expanding the annual car show, recruiting volunteer judges and making unique hand-crafted trophies.
