As director, Pearson will handle master planning, real estate partnerships and project development.
The rundown
Pearson is a Central Texas native that brings a varied professional background in municipal administration, legislation, law and community planning. She received her Doctor of Law from South Texas College of Law Houston and her B.A. in environmental design and political science from Texas A&M University, according to a news release.
Pearson previously worked with the city in 2022 as a consultant and helped draft the Bee Cave Unified Development Code.
For the last two years, she has worked with the Central Texas city Burnet as the director of public works and community development.
"[In Burnet I] focused on integrating new technology and workflow methodologies to enhance planning and development, flexibility, and recruitment to improve the engagement and experience with the [city] for citizens, staff and city leadership," Pearson said in an emailed statement. "I hope to do the same here, and bring the same innovation, excitement and passion for public service to my new role in Bee Cave."
Pearson will be succeeding former Director Megan Will, who worked with the city for over five years.
