Lakeway City Council called a general election to be held May 4 for three council seats and approved a resolution designating polling locations at a Feb. 5 meeting.

A general election will be held May 4 for the election of three City Council member seats, including those held by Mayor Pro Tem Louis Mastrangelo, council member Kelly Brynteson and council member Jennifer Szimanski.

Brynteson and Szimanski are eligible to run for re-election; however, Mastrangelo has reached his term limit, serving three consecutive terms, and is not eligible to run, according to city officials.

The cost


The city budgeted $45,000 for fiscal year 2023-24 for election expenditures, according to city documents.

Lakeway City Council also approved a resolution designating polling locations for elections at the meeting.

All elections will be held at the Lakeway Activity Center. The designated location for presidential elections will be Room “A”, according to city documents.


The designated location for all other general and municipal elections and primary elections will be Room “F” of the Lakeway Activity Center, according to city documents.
