Bee Cave Mayor Pro Tem Andrew Clark and Council Members Andrea Willott and Kevin Hight have all been re-elected to their positions after the May 6 election was canceled Feb. 28 due to lack of opposition.

The filing date for candidacy was Jan. 18-Feb. 17; all three incumbents filed and ran unopposed.

The Texas Election Code specifies that, if no candidate in the election is opposed on the ballot or by a declared write-in candidate, the city secretary must deliver a certification and inform the city council as soon as possible.

After being notified and receiving the certification, the council may declare the unopposed candidates elected to office, in which case the election is not held.

Bee Cave City Council members voted unanimously to cancel the election Feb. 28.
