Leyna Saucedo is Lakeway’s newest police officer. She was sworn in March 25 and was welcomed by the City Council at its April 18 meeting.

Saucedo attended high school in Eagle Pass and graduated from Texas A&M’s Laredo campus.

She previously worked in information technology for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

“We are excited to have her onboard. I look forward to seeing her out there as a member of the community,” Lakeway police Chief Glen Koen said at the meeting.
