The city of Lakeway and the Bee Cave Chamber of Commerce are hosting holiday events on Dec. 4 to celebrate the holiday season and give back to the community.



Dec. 4: Light the night up

The city of Lakeway is holding Lights On! to kick-off its annual Lakeway Trail of Lights. The event will feature cookie decorating, marshmallow roasting, and will have Santa and Mrs. Claus nearby to light up the display and interact with children. The Trail of Lights illuminates the walking trails next to City Hall through Jan. 2 from 6 p.m. to midnight. Visitors can access the trail featuring thousands of lights and various tableaus from the lower level of the Lakeway Activity Center parking lot. 6-8 p.m. Free. Dec. 4: Go for a morning run


The Bee Cave Chamber of Commerce is holding the annual Jingle Bell Run 5K at the Hill Country Galleria benefitting the Lake Travis High School cross country and track booster club. Starting at 6:30 a.m., the event will have coffee, music and a warmup stretch session for participants, along with booths from several businesses open for visits. There will also be a kid dash at 7:30 a.m. Participants can bring new and unwrapped toys to donate.
