Incumbent Beth South has been re-elected to the Place 3 position on the West Lake Hills City Council, according to final voting tallies.

South received 83.12% of the vote, or 453 votes, while her opponent Gary Zygmont received 16.88% of the vote, or 92 votes.

“I am thrilled with the outcome,” South said. “It’s a resounding vote of confidence. I just really appreciate the people who have come out to vote. We have so many exciting things happening and I’m excited to be a part of that.”

Incumbent Beth South leads the West Lake Hills City Place 3 race, according to early voting results.

South has received 83.95% of the vote, or 361 votes, while her opponent Gary Zygmont has received 16.05% of the vote, or 69 votes.

South was elected to the council in May 2017 and has been a West Lake Hills resident from 1960-77 and from 1991 to the present.

Zygmont has been a small-business owner for 25 years and is a custom homebuilder.
