Candidate Diane Hern has been elected to the Eanes ISD board of trustees Place 3 position, according to final voting tallies.
Hern received 50.56% of the vote, or 2,732 votes. Chandler Hatchett received 47.15% of the vote, or 2,548 votes. Robert Morrow received 2.29% of the vote, or 124 votes.
Hern was not available at press time for a comment on her victory.

Candidate Diane Hern leads the race with 49.6% of the vote, or 1,837 votes, and Chandler Hatchett follows close behind with 47.87% of the vote, or 1,773 votes. Robert Morrow trails in last with 2.54% of the vote, or 94 votes.
Hern serves on the Student Safety and Health Advisory Committee and Mental Health Subcommittee as well as in other leadership roles.
Hatchett is a public speaker and anti-trafficking advocate and has teaching experience.
