Three candidates, including incumbent Mayor Thomas Kilgore, have filed to fill the mayoral seat. Running against Kilgore are Ron Cooper and Roy Paar.
Five other candidates have also filed for the Lakeway City Council, including incumbent Mayor Pro Tem Gretchen Vance, Kevin Bernzott, Christopher Forton, Kent O’Brien and Dan Vardell. For council members, voters will choose up to three, and the three candidates with the most votes will be elected, according to the city.
Lakeway City Council members will serve in at-large positions, meaning each council member serves the entire city.
Early voting begins April 24.
