Four candidates are vying for two seats on the Eanes ISD board of trustees.

On the ballot are incumbent Heather Sheffield and Catherine Walker for Place 6, and John Troy and Robert Morrow for Place 7. Place 7 incumbent Ellen Balthazar did not seek re-election.

With all Travis County precincts reporting, unofficial election results show:
  • Walker leads with 3,137 votes (62.97%) against Sheffield's 1,845 votes (37.03%)
  • Troy leads with 4,413 votes (93.81%) against Morrow's 291 votes (6.19%)

With 11 out of 22 Travis County precincts reporting:
  • Walker leads with 2,485 votes (63.75%) against Sheffield's 1,413 votes (36.25%)
  • Troy leads with 3,468 votes (94.03%) against Morrow's 220 votes (5.97%)

Based on Travis County early voting election results:
  • Walker leads with 2,071 votes (62.93%) against Sheffield's 1,220 votes (37.07%)
  • Troy leads with 2,909 votes (93.87%) against Morrow's 190 votes (6.13%)

EISD trustees are elected at-large, meaning all registered voters living within EISD boundaries can vote for each place on the ballot, as trustees represent the entire district instead of a portion of the district.

Meet the candidates

Sheffield, who was first elected to the board in 2019, is a lobbyist for Association of Texas Professional Educators and has experience as a community volunteer and former teacher. Walker is Capital Metro's executive vice president and chief financial and risk officer, and has experience as a community volunteer and Bond Oversight Committee member.

Troy is an entrepreneur, vice president of the Eanes Education Foundation and has experience as a community volunteer. Morrow did not respond to Community Impact with occupation or experience information.
