The board unanimously approved an election order during its regular meeting Jan. 14 calling for an election to be held in May.

All EISD registered voters are able to vote for each place on the ballot as EISD trustees are at-large positions, meaning they represent the entire district instead of a portion of the district as a single-member position.
Trustee terms last three years without compensation.
