A second location of Lake Travis Community Library is now open for families in the Rough Hollow, Spicewood and Briarcliff areas.

Located off Hwy. 71, Lake Travis Community Library West is a 5,000 square-foot library and offers materials such as books, audiobooks, magazines and DVDs, according to a news release. The center also offers public computers with printing services, a study room, a covered patio and a dedicated children’s play area.

The library is open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Monday, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, and has plans in the future to expand its hours. In the coming months, patrons can anticipate free events and programs such as story times, book clubs and education lectures, the news release states.

All Texas residents are eligible to join the library free-of-cost, according to the news release. Those interested can sign up in person at the West or Lakeway location, or sign up online at www.laketravislibrary.org.
