Lake Travis High School students Reagan and Jordan Lowman earned first place in the Unified Bowling doubles event at the 2022 Special Olympics Malta Invitational Games, which took place May 13-18. The students were accompanied by Erin Russo, Serene Hills Elementary School special education teacher and Lake Travis Special Olympics coach.

The trip was part of 23 delegations who gathered in Malta for the competition to compete in aquatics, athletics, bocce, bowling, football and table tennis. The competition was the first time an international Special Olympics event was held in Europe since the pandemic, according to Special Olympics Texas officials.
