Incumbent Heather Sheffield won Place 6 on the Eanes ISD board of trustees with 51.67% of the vote, a total of 4,094 votes, according to May 7 final voting totals released by Travis County at 10:55 p.m. Her opponent, Jim Withers, ended the night at 48.33%.
Place 7 incumbent Ellen Balthazar also won her race with 52.65% of the vote, a total of 4,148 votes. Real estate firm founder Jay Lamy was the runner-up with 44.57% of the vote, or 3,511 votes. Substitute teacher and multilingual liaison David Barrutia came in third with 219 votes, a total of 2.78%.
