The Lake Travis ISD Board of Trustees approved a measure at their April 20 board meeting permitting the superintendent to contact landowners to negotiate a purchase sale agreement for roughly 24 acres of adjacent property in the southwestern portion of the district.
Both pieces of property are located within Dripping Springs, according to district documents. One plot of land is 19.58 acres located at 700 Bell Springs Road, while the smaller 4-acre lot is located at 20511 Hamilton Pool Road. The two pieces of property are located next to each other but have different property owners.
In the event that district administration can successfully negotiate the purchase of these properties, a final purchase sale agreement will be presented to the school board for consideration, according to district documents. Funds to purchase the land will come from the district’s 2018 bond funds.
