Tests will be conducted from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the district’s Adult Transition Services Building located at 1020 Walsh Tarlton Lane, Austin.
EISD will utilize Abbott Laboratories BinaxNOW—a rapid COVID-19 test provided by the federal government, according to the district. The tests will be conducted through a self-swab method under the direction of a testing administrator.
The service will be free for all students and staff. Those interested in undergoing a test do not need to be presenting active COVID-19 symptoms or have come into close contact with a COVID-19-positive individual.
Students and staff are required to preregister online, and walk-in appointments will not be available the day of testing. Students must submit a consent form upon registration.
Results will be available in approximately two hours, according to EISD.
