Trustees officially called the election during a Jan. 20 board meeting, with Place 1 and Place 2 on the ballot. Both positions are full, three-year terms that began in May 2018.
Place 1 is held by Guy Clayton, an LTISD alumnus who has served as a trustee since 2009. Lauren White, who has served since 2018, currently holds Place 2.
The first day to file for a place on the ballot was Jan. 13 and the deadline to submit an application will close Feb. 12.
As of 3:30 p.m. Jan. 22, White has filed for re-election for Place 2, according to Marco Alvarado, LTISD’s director of communications. Additionally, a new candidate, Phillip Davis filed for Place 1.
Early voting will begin April 12.
