Two new members officially joined the Eanes ISD board of trustees during a Nov. 17 board meeting.

New trustees Kim McMath, Place 1, and Laura Clark, Place 3, completed their oaths of office following the canvassing of the Nov. 3 election results, as did veteran board member, John Havenstrite.

Per the election results, McMath received more than 63% of the votes in a race against fellow community member John Troy. Both Clark and Havenstrite were running uncontested.

All trustees places are at-large positions, meaning the seat represents the entire district. Each trustee is also elected to serve a three-year term.

The Nov. 17 meeting also served as the final board meeting, for now, for former trustees Christie Bybee and Jason Paull, who did not run for re-election.

In a unanimous decision, Havenstrite will take over as the board’s president, a position previously held by trustee Jennifer Champagne, who will now serve as vice president. James Spradley was approved to serve as the board’s secretary.
