Despite a district closure due to the coronavirus, Eanes ISD welcomed a new chief learning officer during the virtual March 31 regular board meeting.
Susan Fambrough will replace Todd Washburn as the chief learning officer, also referred to as the assistant superintendent for curriculum, instruction and assessment.
Fambrough is no stranger to the EISD community, having served as the principal of Cedar Creek Elementary School since 2018.
Fambrough will begin this position July 1 and will remain the Cedar Creek principal until that date.
She received a master's degree from Baylor University for curriculum and instruction and holds a variety of state teaching certifications, according to district information.
“Thank you to the school board, thank you to Dr. Leonard in having faith in me,” Fambrough said. “When I came here two years ago, Cedar Creek and the district of Eanes welcomed me with open arms.”
