The Lake Travis ISD board of trustees took action to officially cancel the May 2 General Election during a March 25 regular board meeting.

Trustees Bob Dorsett and William Beard were both running uncontested and will serve another three-year-long term.

Lake Travis ISD officially called for the May 2 general election during the Jan. 15 school board meeting. The positions up for election belong to Place 6 trustee William Beard and Place 7's Bob Dorsett. Both Place 6 and Place 7 are full, three-year-long terms.

Both Dorsett and Beard submitted an application Jan. 15 for re-election, which was the first day to apply for a place on the ballot. The deadline to file an application is scheduled for Feb. 14, with early voting beginning April 20.

The elected candidates will be officially sworn in May 20.
