Eanes ISD voted to approve a contract agreement with Stantec Architecture Inc. during the Aug. 13 special board meeting.

Following an interview process, EISD selected Stantec to complete the co-curricular and extracurricular projects funded by the May bond. The projects include the expansion of the Westlake High School robotics lab and the construction of aquatics and wrestling facilities.

Stantec’s proposal estimated architecture costs at $845,000, according to district information. According to the board, Stantec was the most qualified based on experience.

Separate advisory groups were formed for the individual facility projects, according to Superintendent Dr. Tom Leonard.

“We’re in the planning stages, but we’re still on track,” Dr. Leonard said.
