The Texas Education Agency released accountability ratings for the 2016-17 school year Tuesday, measuring districts and schools in student achievement, student progress, closing performance gaps and postsecondary readiness. For each index, districts and schools were assigned designations of Met Standard, Improvement Required or were not rated.

According to the TEA's website, schools also had an opportunity to earn distinctions in seven categories: academic achievements in reading, academic achievements in math, academic achievements in science, academic achievements in social studies, student progress, closing performance gaps and postsecondary readiness.

Eanes ISD


EISD earned a Met Standard rating in all four indices as did each school in the district:

  • Westlake High School earned distinctions in all seven categories measured.

  • Hill Country Middle School earned distinctions in social studies, student progress, closing performance gaps and postsecondary readiness.

  • West Ridge Middle School earned distinctions in reading, social studies, student progress, closing performance gaps and postsecondary readiness.

  • Cedar Creek Elementary School earned a distinction for closing performance gaps.

  • Forest Trail Elementary School earned distinctions in reading, student progress, closing performance gaps and postsecondary readiness.

  • Barton Creek Elementary School earned distinctions in reading, science, student progress, closing performance gaps and postsecondary readiness.

  • Bridge Point Elementary School earned distinctions in reading, closing performance gaps and postsecondary readiness.


Eanes and Valley View elementary schools did not earn distinctions in any categories.

Lake Travis ISD


LISD earned a Met Standard rating in all four indices, as did each school in the district:

  • Lake Travis High School earned distinctions in science and student progress.

  • Lake Travis Middle School earned a distinction in social studies.

  • Hudson Bend Middle School earned distinctions in reading, science, student progress, closing performance gaps and postsecondary readiness.

  • Lake Travis Elementary School earned a distinction in reading.

  • Lake Pointe Elementary School earned distinctions in math, science, student progress and closing performance gaps.

  • West Cypress Hills Elementary School earned a distinction in math.


Lakeway, Bee Cave and Serene Hills elementary schools did not earn any distinctions.
