Eanes ISD and Central Texas television station KBVO, a sister station of KXAN, entered a partnership on Aug. 1 that will allow Westlake High School football games to be aired during the 2017 regular season, KBVO spokesperson Dax Dobbs said. The station will air the football games Saturdays during the season at 7 p.m., a day after the games are played, he said. Westlake High School students will film and produce the program for the station, Dobbs said. “This gives our students a unique opportunity to showcase their technical expertise in video production as well as highlight the co-curricular excellence in all the programs that encompass Friday night lights in Westlake,” Superintendent Tom Leonard said in a news release.
