Tina Pasak has been named principal of River Place Elementary School.[/caption]

Tina Pasak has been named the new principal of River Place Elementary School, Leander ISD Superintendent Dan Troxell announced May 30.

“Mrs. Pasak is a strong instructional leader who has demonstrated an ability to create a campus learning culture that sets high expectations and promotes learning for students and staff,” Troxell stated. “She is a lifelong, effective, approachable communicator with an open-door policy. Mrs. Pasak has developed a superb track record of successful collaborations among staff, with parents and with the community.”

Pasak started teaching in 1998 in high school English Language Arts. She then joined Lago Vista ISD in 2009 as an English Language Arts teacher for two years before she became a counselor in Lago Vista in 2011. Pasak joined LISD in 2014, where she served as an assistant principal at Rouse High School for two years. This past year, she served as dean of Instruction at Glenn High School.

Pasak earned her bachelor’s degree from University of Houston in Victoria and her master’s degree from Lamar University.

River Place Elementary School is located at 6500 Sitio del Rio Blvd., Austin.
