Ask the editor: Looking for some new restaurants in the Westlake area?

The greater Austin metroplex is one of the most popular areas in the country. Simply Google the phrase “Austin growth,” and droves of articles pop up about the city breaking records for rising population for the last several years in a row.

With that popularity comes new businesses, and even though it is relatively built out, the Westlake area is no exception.

In our June issue of Community Impact Newspaper, Reporter Sally Grace Holtgrieve gives a report on several new restaurants that have opened in the last year, included a healthy contingent of seven eateries in the Barton Creek Omni Resort & Spa alone.

This information (see Page 19 of our June edition, or reference the link above) might normally be relegated to our Impacts page, which gives the lowdown on area businesses in a news brief format, but due to the trending and somewhat pinpointed location, we felt the influx deserved its own page. Take a look, and perhaps let our report lead you to a great night out—or several.
