What does an airport expansion mean to the Lake Travis-Westlake area?

One of the aspects of Community Impact Newspaper that makes it so vital to its readers is that it has a sharp hyperlocal focus. With that in mind, it might seem a little out of place to include a story in our December edition on the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport’s multiyear, $350 million expansion. Though it’s an impactful project in the region, it’s a little far from western Travis County.

A few times a year Community Impact Newspaper will do a story that many of its markets can use due to its relevance across several regions, counties and cities. The ABIA story in this edition is no exception.

ABIA serves travelers throughout the Greater Austin area, including Lake Travis-Westlake. Because of this it is important for our readers to have access to the comprehensive coverage provided by Round Rock-Pflugerville-Hutto reporter Iain Oldman on ABIA’s eventual expansion into one of Texas’ largest international airports.
