Renovations at the West Woods shopping center in Westlake were completed in the last week of November, according to Kailey Shatzer, a spokesperson for property manager, First Washington Realty.

Located at 3201 Bee Caves Road, Austin, overall renovations included updating the center’s façade, including new signage, replacement of the building’s wood roofing and new painting and landscaping to better match other neighborhood structures, Shatzer said. Lighting was also replaced to improve visibility at night, she said.

Drainage improvements also were part of the project, which lasted the majority of 2017. Damaged concrete along pathways to storefronts were fixed to better drain and additional drainage systems were put in place to reduce stormwater pooling during rain events, Shatzer said.

New tenants for the plaza are expected to be announced in early 2018, she said. Information on tenants can be found on the shopping center’s new website, www.westwoodsaustin.com.

Summer Moon Coffee Bar has already been confirmed as a new tenant, with a goal to open in late February.
