Through a partnership with Eanes ISD, the Westlake Chamber of Commerce will offer two COVID-19 testing opportunities in preparation for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.
Testing will be conducted by Family Hospital Systems within EISD’s Valley View Elementary School’s cafeteria Nov. 19 from 4-8 p.m., as well as Nov. 29 from 1-5 p.m.
Under most insurance plans, there is no charge for the nasal swab test, which carries a $125 out-of-pocket cost, according to a release from the chamber. The results will become available in about 48 hours.
Participants can preregister through the chamber’s website and will be required to present valid insurance and a driver’s license at the time of the appointment.
“While this is a different kind of year, and it may be a different kind of Thanksgiving, there is a way to build in certain precautions by making a plan to test for COVID-19 before and after the break,” an EISD press release stated.
