Lake Travis Community Library, Lakeway’s library located at 1938 Lohmans Crossing Road, Austin, celebrated its 10-year anniversary in February.

The 11,000-square-foot library offers multiple different amenities in addition to books, including community programs, public computers and a bookstore.

The library opened in 1985 and was originally part of Lake Travis High School, Library Director Morgan McMillian said. In 2004, a library district was created by the voters to give the library sales tax revenue, she said.

With the funds from sales tax revenue and around $1 million raised from the community, the library was able to open in 2013, she said. 512-263-2885.
