City Council unanimously approved the motion to grant a special-use permit for the convenience store for a period of 99 years.
Officials representing QuikTrip said the store is known for its cleanliness and for having a safe place in part of a the store for people needing law enforcement assistance.
Council Member Louis Mastrangelo asked how the company would manage its workforce. Representatives said they plan to offer a base pay rate of $19.50 an hour with managers making about $90,000 a year.
