Lakeway City Council approved a special-use permit for Cherry Peak Office Condos, medical offices already under construction that are adjacent to the Lakeway Medical Village.

The 6-acre plat of land on 3503 Wild Cherry Drive owned by Cherry Peak LTD required a special-use permit for medical office buildings because the property is located less than 300 feet from residentially zoned property, according to city documents.

The move from council during the June 17 meeting follows a June 5 recommendation from the Lakeway Zoning and Planning Commission to approve the permit.

City staff initially approved a site development plan and zoned 11 office buildings at the site for office retail in March 2017 and issued a building permit in January. Information from the permit application lists uses for the buildings including offices for physicians, dentists, ophthalmologists and veterinarians.
