The city of Rollingwood hired Amber Lewis as its new city administrator at a special city council meeting May 31. She replaces former administrator Charles Winfield, who resigned unexpectedly Feb. 15. Lewis began serving as city administrator June 5, and will attend her first city council meeting on Wednesday, City Secretary Robyn Ryan said. “[Lewis] already has a stack of papers at her desk and is getting to work,” Ryan said. “We’re really excited to have her here.” Council will take action to make Lewis a signatory for the city bank account and outline her duties as city administrator at the June 21 meeting, according to the meeting agenda released by the city this afternoon. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Rollingwood City Hall, 403 Nixon Drive.
