An
online petition to remove the logo signs along Loop 360 in the Westlake area that were constructed in March has reached nearly 1,000 signatures.
Peter Schumann, who is leading the charge against the signs, said he closed the survey May 31 after a month online. The Lost Creek resident said he has reopened it to the public and will continue to collect information for a few more weeks “mostly because people said they missed the deadline and they wanted to be included.”
He said he has been in conversations with State Rep. Donna Howard, D-Austin, State Rep. Paul Workman, R-Austin, and State Sen. Kirk Watson, D-Austin.
“Nobody’s committed themselves at this point, but they are sympathetic at least,” Schumann said.
He said the cities of
West Lake Hills and Rollingwood, the Lost Creek Civic Organization, the Rob Roy Homeowners Association, the Barton Creek North Property Owners Association, the Davenport Rim Condominium Association and the Davenport Ranch Patio Homeowners Association have all passed resolutions stating their citizens’ displeasure with the signs.
