From a new running studio to a recently opened boutique car dealership, here are 21 business updates for the Lake Travis and Westlake region.

Now open

Wakesurf Saloon

The new lakeside restaurant offers smash burgers, pizza, local Texas beers and craft cocktails, and features live music and sports programming. A grand opening featuring musical performances was held May 16 for the business as well as its neighbor, Wahoo’s Fish Tacos.

Wahoo’s Fish Tacos

The California-based chain restaurant offers fish, chicken and steak tacos, as well as sides like chips and queso or guacamole. The restaurant, along with its neighbor Wakesurf Saloon, was established by owner Jesse Fortney.

Cafe Largesse



The new neighborhood cafe and wine bar offers a selection of coffee, tea and pastries as well as paninis, salads and tacos. Opening hours are 7 a.m.-5 p.m daily, with dinner service from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday through Sunday.

Lake Travis Celebration Church

The church opened in the Hill Country Galleria, offering weekend church services to residents of Bee Cave and surrounding areas. With three other Texas locations in Leander, Georgetown and Central Austin, the new location is led by pastors Joe and Lori Champion, according to the organization’s website.

Nike Running Studio

The studio offers fitness classes that focus on endurance training as well as sprinting. Classes can be purchased on the business’ website, with single-day passes as well as packages of up to 20 classes offered.

SAF Wine Bar & Nosh

Taking the spot of Graze Craze, the business offers 23 wines by the glass and 80 wines by the bottle. The wine bar also offers meat and cheese boards, flatbreads, specialty boards, desserts, nonalcoholic beverages and more. The business is owned locally by Jon Graham, Malinee Kruasing and Scott McHenry, and operates Wednesday through Sunday from 5 p.m.-midnight.

The boutique car dealership offers vehicles from the '80s and '00s, with a full list of cars available on the business’ website. Events are regularly hosted at the dealership, and merchandise like apparel, stickers and tumblers are also available online.

Gracie Barra Spicewood

Locally owned by David Thomas and Alexandre “Dande” Santon, the business offers Brazilian jiu-jitsu classes for kids, teens and adults of all skill levels with certified instructors.

Miniso

The national chain opened a new spot next to Abercrombie & Fitch at Barton Creek Square Mall this spring. The store offers household and consumer products, such as cosmetics, stationery, toys, kitchenware and more.

Taylor Bosworth & Bullard PLLC

The business specializes in comprehensive estate planning, including business planning, estate administration and planning for special needs.

Love Lamp Matcha



The matcha shop opened its second location above Wanderlust Wine Co. The cafe opened its first location on Shirley Avenue in North Austin in January and serves only matcha drinks.

Coming soon

Scenthound

The business will offer grooming services as well as basic hygiene packages including bathing, ear cleaning, nail trimming and teeth brushing. Memberships are offered on the business’ website, allowing customers to schedule monthly hygiene appointments.

Legend Tennis Academy

Located off Crawford Road, the new facility will offer four tennis courts. The business will open in time for its upcoming summer camps, which run from June 2-Aug. 10 for ages 4-15.

Southern Steer Butcher



The meat market will open a second Texas location in Oak Hill near Shore Raw Bar & Grill. According to its website, Southern Steer Butcher offers premium meat cuts, sides, seasonings, sauces, desserts and more.

What’s next

First United Bank-Lakeway

The First United Bank in Lakeway will soon see new upgrades made to the business’ offices. According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, upgrades will involve an interior demolition and new wall locations, finishes, lighting fixtures and plumbing. The $1.5 million project is expected to be completed before the end of the year, according to the filing.

Relocations

Lizzylu



The decor and home goods shop will relocate within the WestBank Market shopping center from 3300 Bee Caves Road, Ste. 240, Austin, to 3300 Bee Caves Road, Ste. 380, Austin.

Lake Travis Crisis Ministries

The organization moved from 107 RM 620 S., Unit 114, Lakeway, to the lower level of ACTS Church at 1304 RM 620 N., Lakeway. The organization offers financial assistance, operates a food pantry, and provides additional help like notice of job openings, health care information and prayer.

Expansions

St. John Neumann Catholic Church

The church is getting a new Montessori school. Classrooms will open in January after renovations take place on a 2,200-square-foot building, originally constructed as a residence, on the church’s campus.

In the news

H-E-B Bee Cave

A new and improved gas station kiosk is coming soon to the Bee Cave H-E-B. The current station, located at 12400 W. Hwy. 71, is under construction and will likely remain closed until at least the end of June, an H-E-B representative said.

Bee Cave Arts Foundation

The organization will celebrate its 15th anniversary in August. Since its founding, the group has developed a variety of art programs and installations, from the Bee Cave Sculpture Park to Bee Cave BuzzFest.

Closings

Lakeway Primrose School

The private preschool, which offered early education and child care, closed its Lakeway location early this year, a Primrose representative said. Two Primrose locations now remain open in the Lake Travis region, with one in Bee Cave and the other in Four Points.
