Here are eight events throughout the Lake Travis and Westlake areas to check out in May and June, from Father's Day events to storytimes.

National Senior Health and Fitness Day

Arbor Terrace Lakeway will host a day of senior health and fitness awareness. The event will feature expert-led demonstrations and interactive activities from local vendors. Some activities include free hearing aid tests and cleanings, a fall prevention class, and free kidney check health vouchers. The public event does not require an RSVP.Storyteller Elizabeth Kahura: Jungle Walk

All ages are invited to a storytime with Kenyan-born storyteller Elizabeth Kahura at Lake Travis Community Library West. The story will explore Savannah animals and the importance of wildlife through poems, puppets and music.Dad’s Day Dash


Held at Pace Bend Park, the Father’s Day-themed event allows runners ages 2-17 to show off their skills on age-appropriate road courses. A 2K or 5K/Fun Run is also part of the event, allowing families of all fitness levels to walk, jog or run together. The event is part of the 2025 Travis County Kids Race Series and is produced by Fit Foundation.Whiskey, Cars and Cigars

The event at Iron Wolf Ranch and Distillery will celebrate Father’s Day with the grand opening of a new cigar lounge, a high-end car show, family games, live music from Men of Madam Radar, G6 catering with ribs, burgers and wings, and more.Father’s Day Holiday Brunch

Steiner Ranch Steakhouse will host a Father’s Day brunch with shrimp, lobster mac and cheese, prime rib, omelets, and fresh pastries.Brainworks: Enhancing Cognitive Health in Retirement

Pre-retirees and retirees in the Lake Travis area are invited to this event from Jeremy Self, Cedarwood Financial Partners financial planner, and Janus Henderson Investments. Those interested can email [email protected] to RSVP by June 16.Teddy Bear Clinic and Storytime


Children are invited to bring along their favorite stuffed animal to a teddy bear storytime at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Teddy Bear Clinic led by a pediatrician from Texas Children’s Hospital at 11:30 a.m. The clinic will allow attendees to see medical equipment, learn about doctors appointments, use the equipment on their stuffed animals and review hand-washing techniques.Princess Party

The event at Volente Beach Resort & Waterpark will allow attendees to dress up as their favorite princess and experience a day of princesses, food and live music by Meg Groves as Princess Ariel. Admission includes waterpark access, a food truck meal, bubble party, limbo and more.
