From 4th of July celebrations to poolside fun, here are nine events for Lake Travis-Westlake area residents to enjoy in June and July.


Cinema Under The Stars: "The Little Mermaid" (2023)

"The Little Mermaid" (2023) will be shown poolside as a part of Hotel Viata's new "dive in" summer movie series. Tickets include complimentary popcorn.

Lago Vista July 4th Fireworks and Parade

The celebration will be hosted by the City of Lago Vista, The Lago Vista Lions and Women's Club, and the North Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce. Festivities will include a fireworks show at Bar-K Park beginning at dusk. The 4th of July Parade will take place along Dawn Drive and feature floats, classic cars, horses and decorated golf carts. The theme for this year’s parade is “Celebrating 40 years of Community."

City of West Lake Hills 4th of July Parade & Celebration

The Westlake Chamber of Commerce will join with local businesses to host a parade and carnival celebrating Independence Day. The carnival will include live music, food vendors and a costume contest for families and pets.

Lakeway 4th of July Parade & Hot Dog Reception

The city of Lakeway will host a parade along Lakeway Drive. The theme for this year's parade is "Symbols of Freedom." The Hot Dog Reception will be hosted at the Lakeway Activity Center beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Independence Day Festival at the Hill Country Galleria

The Hill Country Galleria will host over 40 vendors and a live music concert in the Central Plaza. Children can enjoy fair rides, water games and complimentary face painting. The night will end with a fireworks show at dusk.Marble Falls July 4th Fireworks Celebration

The city of Marble Falls will host a fireworks show over Lake Marble Falls. In preparation for the detonation, parts of Lake Marble Falls will be closed for safety. A celebration will be held at Lakeside Park, where Dysfunkshun Junksun will perform live at 7 p.m. The fireworks will begin around 9 p.m.

Footloose: The Musical

The Magnolia Musical Theatre will perform "Footloose: The Musical" at the Hill Country Galleria's Central Plaza Lawn. Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.Under the Sea

The Lakeway Swim Center will host an underwater-themed event featuring mermaids, sea creatures, snacks, giveaways and face painting for children.

Lakeway Community Blood Drive

Blood collected at the drive is donated to ten counties in the surrounding area, including Travis County. Eligible donors should be in good health, at least 17 years old and weigh 115 pounds or more. Photo identification is required, and eating beforehand is highly recommended. Prospective donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment beforehand, but walk-ins are also welcome.
