Construction on a new Spec's Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods is slated to begin soon at 1101 N. RR 620, Lakeway, following City Council approval of a special-use permit May 15. The site is vacant, and a timeline for the opening is not yet known.

The new store will be around 14,000 square feet, according to agenda documents, and will employ approximately 20 individuals. The operating hours will be 9 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
