The company plans to move out by May 20 and open in its new location the following week by May 24, owner Clint Strait said.
Strait Music Co. has been located off Ben White Blvd. since 2001. The music company needed more space and will begin its own music school at the new facility, said Strait.
The company sells a variety of instruments and offers rentals, repairs and lessons. The family-owned business has been in Austin since 1963.
Strait Music Co.'s North Austin location at 13945 N. Hwy. 183, Austin, will remain open.
