The organization was founded in 1972, although the specific opening date for the association is not known, LLGA President Beverly Banfield said.
LLGA is for women who “enjoy an 18-hole round of golf for fun, fellowship and competition,” according to its mission statement.
The organization has weekly play days on Wednesday as well as tournaments and special events.
The Oct. 19 event honored 19 past presidents, including Jean Lockhart, a founding member who turned 103 this year.
