Located in the Hill Country, Bluebonnet Collective offers planning services for microevents that feature pop-up picnics, bachelorette party planning, charcuterie experiences and more in the Lake Travis-Westlake area and beyond.

Founded by Hilary Coniglione, the concept for Bluebonnet Collective was developed in December 2020 after Coniglione saw someone she knew in Arizona launch a similar business. Thinking the service could work well in Austin, Coniglione left her job as a marketing director and launched Bluebonnet Collective in January 2021.

“Everything we do is with the idea of having a special celebration and creating lasting memories without creating an overwhelming amount of work,” Coniglione said. “In Austin, everyone’s so busy. What we’re trying to do is provide an opportunity for people to relax a little.”

Picnic venues are chosen by the client, ranging from Lakeway City Park and Spicewood Vineyards to a client’s backyard. From groups of two to over 20, Bluebonnet Collective offers six packages for pop-up picnics, including the Romance Package, fit for a romantic evening with wine, a custom charcuterie board, candles and decor, such as pillows, blankets and tables.

In addition to a hands-free setup, the Bluebonnet team returns to clean up dishes and pack away furnishings.

“The client is responsible for absolutely nothing other than showing up, having fun and leaving,” Coniglione said.

Bluebonnet also offers full-service bachelorette party planning, during which the team will arrive at a client’s rental house prior to the group’s arrival to decorate with one of three themes: "Final Fiesta," "Last Hoedown" and "Vino Before Vows." With an average bachelorette party being around 10 attendees, the price comes out nearly the same if a client did the work themselves, Coniglione said.
