The groundbreaking event for the roughly $4 million facility took place Dec. 4, 2018. Tess said 12 firefighters are assigned to the station, for which personnel will be grouped into three shifts run by four-person teams.
“The station is about 9,000 square feet,” Tess said. “We have a fire truck, a brush truck and a search-and-rescue truck.”
The station also comes equipped with a kitchen, a recreation room, several bedrooms, a bay for the fire vehicles, a gym and administrative offices.
