A tornado touched down near Walburg in Williamson County this morning around 9:30 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. It was rated an EF-0 with 80 mph winds.

Williamson County emergency service agencies responded to 911 calls and assessed damages after the storm, Williamson County Communications Specialist Connie Watson said in a press release.

“Several homes sustained minor to moderate roof damage and one section of the roof of a local business was ripped away, strewing insulation debris for approximately one mile,” Williamson County Office of Emergency Management stated in the release. “No reports of injuries have been received at this time."
